The Associate of Occupational Studies Degree in Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts includes a year of in depth classroom education, plus a three month internship at a local restaurant. The program includes coursework in the fundamentals of culinary arts and technique. Students receive hands on experience in classical cooking methods, using the French model made famous by Le Cordon Bleu.
Students also take courses in sanitation and food safety, nutrition, and other aspects of menu planning and kitchen management. They learn both front of the house and back of the house skills and procedures, gaining experience in the school's in-house restaurant.

This sequential program provides the student with the skills needed to start a career in the baking and pastry industry. Beginning with a study of baking theory, the program offers hands-on experience creating baked goods and pastries.
